- TRUE MARVEL ($2.80)
True Marvel lines up as second favourite in this 3200m slugfest as it stands, behind the in-form Accountability. I give True Marvel the edge here though; he possesses an incredible staying ability, showcased in his past three runs over more than 3000m, where he won by 9.9L, 1L & 4.3L respectively. Does jump up in class here but he’s an out and out stayer and should be right there in the finish.
- ENTHAAR ($4.40)
Enthaar looks like a horse on the up, scoring two dominant victories at Group 3 level to kick off her career. She then tackled the Group 1 Blue Diamond, where she ran bravely, leading throughout before being overrun late. She was then spelled and resumed last start at Flemington, where she ran well, but it certainly looked like she had some improvement to come. She’s second up here and can take another step forward in her career now.
- FESTIVAL DANCER ($3.10)
It’s been an interesting prep so far for Festival Dancer; it began back in August and she’s had nine(!) starts since. The incredible thing is, she had no wins in her first five runs of the prep and now has scored four in a row. She is seemingly getting better with each and every run, so whilst she is on this upward trajectory, I’ll be sticking with her. Gets her pet distance again and looks the one to beat here.

- REGALO DI GAETANO ($12)
Regalo Di Gaetano was poor in the first few runs of his career, but quickly turned that around and all of a sudden had four wins from just seven starts. The wins in his career seemingly come in patches, so once he finds his groove, he usually continues to run well. He’s in one of those patches at the moment, winning his past two starts in South Australia & now gets his chance across the ditch. He can certainly measure up here in an open field, especially with the in-form Zac Spain on board. Looks a solid chance at odds.
