- ESTA LA ROCA ($2.65)
Esta La Roca looks to have a bit of competition for the early lead here, but she should sit close enough and her class should prevail in this field. Just last start, she raced at Group 2 level, leading and finished 1.8L away from eventual winner The Inferno. This looks to be her easiest test for a while and she should appreciate the drop in class. Certainly the one to beat.
- SO SAY YOU ($5.00)
So Say You has made her way through the grades nicely this prep, which finally resulted in a win at Rosehill a few starts back. She’s held her own in the Highway races, finishing no worse than a length-and-a-half in each of her three starts. Gets another good chance here and certainly looks the one to beat, albeit in an open race.
- NO COMPROMISE ($2.60)
No Compromise is third up here today and looks the one to beat after two very solid runs to begin the prep. First up, he began awkwardly but raced gamely from the rear to finish just over a length away. He followed that up with another strong run from the tail last start, when he was also blocked around the 400m mark. Up to 2400m here and looks incredibly hard to beat.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- ALL SAINTS’ EVE ($12)
This race looks wide open, so looking for a bit of value outside of the favourites. All Saints’ Eve looks a potential challenger; she resumed last start at Randwick over 1400m behind Zaaki and failed to threaten. Her first up form is not excellent, however she goes terrific second up, having won two from three second up starts. She should improve here and could be a chance at nice odds.
