FLEMINGTON RACE 4 – 14:45 AEST
- ASHFORD STREET ($4.20)
The consistent Ashford Street looks the one to beat here after finishing within two lengths in each of his past six starts. He’s also scored three wins during this period, with one win in a similar grade to this. Last start, he finished a narrow second in this grade after beginning awkwardly at Cranbourne. Tatum Bull claims 3kg, but has been in solid form recently and looks another positive.
FLEMINGTON RACE 6 – 15:55 AEST
- SAINT TROPEZ ($6.00)
Saint Tropez exploded last start on a Heavy Bendigo track, winning by a whopping four lengths over Lucky Plutus. He settled midfield and showed a good turn of foot there, a promising sign for future runs. That was an easier race, but the ability is certainly there and a repeat of that run here would make him hard to beat here.
- OH PLEASE DIANNA ($5.00)
This Neasham trained runner has been in terrific form recently, finishing within half-a-length in her past four runs. She scored a strong win at Goulburn first up, proving too good in the straight, before following that up with two narrow third placings. Fourth up today and again finds herself in a suitable race where she can win. Looks a nice price and should be right there again.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- ZERO TO HUNDRED ($19)
This looks a solid seven-horse race, with talented types Sunborn & Fifteen Aria lining up. I’m looking elsewhere though for value & that may lie with the Ryan/Alexiou trained Zero To Hundred, who was first up after a long spell last start. He didn’t make much of an impression in that run, but has shown talent before (0.1L defeat on Open class at Eagle Farm) & could be a sharp improver up to 1600m second up. Certainly not one to count on, but looks a chance if things go his way.
