KEMBLA GRANGE RACE 4 – 13:25 AEST
- NOBLE SOLDIER ($8.00)
Noble Soldier returned to form last start after a mid-prep lull; on a Heavy track, he saved ground along the rail and was able to mow the leaders down in the straight. That was his first win in nine runs, but he’s finished close in a couple of them, so it was certainly no fluke. Sticks at a similar grade here and looks a solid bet at the odds.
KEMBLA GRANGE RACE 7 – 15:15 AEST
- BIG PARADE ($2.90)
Big Parade resumed from a spell last start and was superb, winning by an impressive 3.3 lengths over Animate and Zakat. He was niggled to lead but finished strongly to make it three wins from his past four runs. He’ll face a bit of pressure from Discharged, but should be able to find a nice spot regardless. The one to beat here.
FLEMINGTON RACE 8 – 16:50 AEST
- TOFANE ($4.80)
Tofane was another who was resuming last start; she had a good run in transit and loomed in the straight, but found Behemoth a touch too good on the day. She finished 0.7 lengths away, which puts her in good stead for the rest of the prep. She scored consecutive Group 1 wins in Queensland to finish off last prep, so she is certainly well credentialled leading into this.

KEMBLA GRANGE RACE 1 – 11:40 AEST
- BLACK SUNRISE ($17)
Black Sunrise was back in form last start after being given a short spell following two poor performances. It was an encouraging return despite being slowly away, running home well to finish second, a length behind the winner. Last prep, he was racing well (excluding his last two runs) & he seems to have returned to that level of form here, which puts him in the mix.
