Matchweek Four

Crystal Palace ($4.33) vs Tottenham Hotspur ($1.90) – Saturday 11th September @9:30pm AEST

Table-topping Tottenham will travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday to face Crystal Palace in a London derby.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Spurs are the only team in the Premier League with a 100% record this season and haven’t conceded a goal.

Crystal Palace will be searching for their first win of their campaign but have been unbeaten in their last two matches.

Despite their impervious defensive record, Spurs have a backline headache with both Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez unavailable, which could mean a first start of the season for Joe Rodon. Meanwhile, there are problems up top with Son Heung Min in doubt following a calf injury he picked up on international duty.

Palace captain Luka Milivojevic will be looking to start his first game of the season after building up his fitness over the international break.

Spurs are clearly weakened with a host of high profile players out, while Palace will be desperate to break their duck.

Collectively, the two teams have only scored five goals this season, so a goal-fest is highly unexpected.

Leicester City ($5.50) vs Manchester City ($1.57) – Sunday 12th September @12am AEST

FA Cup winners Leicester City host Premier League champions Manchester City at the King Power stadium at 12am Sunday.

Both sides have started their respective campaigns with a 2-1 record and victory here could see the winner potentially go joint-top, should Tottenham lose at Palace.

Pep Guardiola’s side tasted defeat on the opening day of their season after losing 1-0 away at Spurs, but have bounced back emphatically with respective 5-0 hammerings of Norwich and Arsenal.

Following a 4-2 loss at West Ham, Leicester bounced back by beating Norwich away at Carrow Road.

Manchester City could be without Brazilian internationals Ederson and Gabriel Jesus after the Brazilian FA asked FIFA to invoke rules to prevent them from playing for their clubs.

Leicester could welcome back a host of defenders including Jonny Evans, Ryan Bertrand and Jannik Vestergaard as they return from injuries.

Leicester have enjoyed some success over Manchester City in modern times, including the recent 1-0 win in the Community Shield.

Manchester United ($1.18) vs Newcastle United ($15) – Sunday 12th September @12am

Manchester United welcome back their prodigal son Cristiano Ronaldo following his sensational return to Old Trafford.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be looking to start his first game for the Red Devils in 12 years, however he will likely only have one day of training under his belt before kick-off.

Newcastle have started their campaign with just a single point, coming from their last match against Southampton when they grabbed an injury time equaliser at St James’ Park.

Despite Ronaldo’s return, Man United have injury concerns up front with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford likely to be out.

Newcastle have had a horror run with injuries to begin the season, with the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Karl Darlow and Elliot Anderson unable to play, while Callum Wilson and Paul Dummett are also doubts.

Even if Ronaldo has little involvement, there’s an inevitable sense of a convincing win coming for Manchester United. Old Trafford will be bouncing as they welcome back one of the greatest players to have ever graced the Theatre of Dreams.

Best Bets

Anytime Goalscorer: Mason Greenwood ($2.30)
