- STEEL SKIES ($5.50)
It’s been a big turnaround in form at races over 2000m for Steel Skies this prep. In May, he finished 12 & 15 lengths away respectively in runs at 2000m & 2400m; in August, he finished 2nd by under a length & followed that with a 1 length victory at 2400m last start. He looks in better shape this time around and can take the next step here.
- QUINTELLO ($2.45)
This Maher/Eustace mare has also had a strong turnaround in form, failing to trouble the scorers last prep, but returning in impressive fashion this time around. She resumed with a superb 4.5 length victory at Warracknabeal first up, before heading to Sandown and scoring by an easy 2.5 length win. She takes another step up in grade here, but still looks to have plenty of upside to come & should be right there in the finish again.
- HE’S THE REAL DEEL ($2.60)
He’s The Real Deel has certainly looked the real deal this prep, winning by 2.75 lengths first up and then following it up with an emphatic 5 length victory at Sandown last start. He goes up in class but one of his main competitors, Flash Flood, was in the race last start where he won by 5 lengths. It’s hard to see that margin turning around today and he should be tough to beat here.

KENSINGTON RACE 5 – 15:45 AEST
- RATHVILLY MISS ($21)
Wide open race here, but there looks to be some value with the Hickman trained Rathvilly Miss, who has opened a big quote here. She resumed here last start and battled on fairly to finish around 2.5 lengths away. She’s had some excuses in her previous runs, including: awkward starts, track condition and traffic in the straight. She should find this race a touch easier & with the right run can finish near the top.
