BLUEY’S BEST
- MONTEREY ZAR ($3.70)
The 6-year-old gelding Monterey Zar has had just six career starts to date, but despite this, he’s had a promising start to his short career. He’s placed in every race he’s had, including two solid victories. This looks to be a very weak highway, so I’m confident that he should feature here.
- SHADOW CRUSH ($6.50)
Shadow Crush had a less than ideal start to his prep, sitting wide throughout and facing a torrid run in transit. He hit back the following start, going down by a length to Epic Dan, Ghostly & Jailbreak. He then went for a freshen and since returning, he has scored two impressive wins. He finds himself in another very winnable race here. He looks a great chance to make it three on the trot.
- LAST WEEK ($5.00)
Last Week had the perfect run last start & certainly made the most of it, scoring a very solid victory in the Apsley Cup at Edenhope. The start prior he was also very good, hitting the front during the straight at Caulfield before being gunned down by Yonkers. He looks to be in top form at the moment and looks a nice price here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- QUEEN BELLISIMO ($11)
Looks a wide open race to kick off proceedings at the COVID-affected Rosehill meeting. I’m siding with up and comer Queen Bellissimo, who has only had four starts, but has scored an impressive three wins. She’s improved with each run this prep and has scored two solid wins in a row. She’ll enjoy the shorter straight at Rosehill (compared to Newcastle last start) & she could prove tough to run down.
