BLUEY’S BEST

SANDOWN RACE 2 – 13:00 AEST

  1. FAC ($3.20)

Fac has only had three starts but has already picked up the bridesmaid tag, having finished second in each of his runs to date. He was sound on debut at Sale, before heading to Pakenham Synthetic and running very well but was unable to get past the leader. Last start was blocked for a run near the 600m mark but was strong when clear. Gets his chance today and will be hard to beat.

SANDOWN RACE 5 – 14:45 AEST

  1. LA CHEVALEE ($4.00)

Kuribai dominates the market here after a dominant first up win, but she certainly looks short enough. La Chevalee was first up last start but was vetted prior to running which may have affected his performance. He sat outside the leader (who went on to win) but was no match during the straight. He stuck on gamely for second however, and there was a further 3L back to third place. He’ll be much fitter for that run and looks a great chance here.

CANTERBURY RACE 7 – 16:20 AEST

  1. NYAMI ($2.40)

Nyami looks a contender to explode here, after having several recent runs with excuses. In her first two starts this prep, she raced wide without cover and failed due to the track condition in one of the runs. Last start, she raced keenly and was forced to run four wide from the 550m. She managed to run a strong race last start however, finishing just under a length away. Smaller field here and she gets the services of James McDonald, which could be a key booking.

BLUEY’S BEST VALUE

CANTERBURY RACE 3 – 14:00 AEST

  1. GIRLS ARE READY ($13)

Girls Are Ready looks to be an attractive price here after finishing under two lengths away last start at Queanbeyan. She sat more prominent than her previous two starts, where she was tailed off to finish near the tail. She has had some promising runs in the past, including a win at Randwick in the Highway last year. Up against a small field here she can sit closer and can feature.
