Modear lines up here as the early favourite, but I’m siding with the lightly raced Teramia, who looks to have plenty of upside to come. She resumed with a win two starts ago at Sale when running home powerfully. Last start at Mornington, she finished under 2 lengths away at the same grade as today. She looks primed for another win here third up.
- POPPY JOAN ($3.70)
Poppy Joan looks set for a huge improvement here in what is just her third ever race start. She was good on debut, finishing a narrow second over 1600m before heading to Ballarat and winning over 2000m on a Heavy track. Back to better ground here and should have no issues handling the 2200m here. Looks a great chance.

Mightybeel looks to have a lot of talent, particularly shown when he scored a dominant 4 length victory to lift his maiden tag two starts ago. Last start, he was slowly away and was forced to cover ground wide from the 600m mark. He’s since been given a freshen and has been gelded during that time. He could return in a big way here.

- THIS SKILLED CAT ($13)
This Skilled Cat is dropping back in class here after a few lacklustre performances this prep. He lines up against an average BM64 field and looks over the odds today. He was good late last prep, winning twice in BM58 grade and also scored a win first up this preparation, in this grade. He finished under 2 lengths away in the Albury Mile last start and can run well again today.
