- KIKU ($4.80)
Kiku is looking to make it three on the trot after beginning the prep in impressive fashion. He returned in a big way first up, sprinting powerfully to run the fastest 400m of the day and score by two lengths. He then followed that up with another strong win at Kensington, scoring by over two lengths again. He looks primed for this third up and should be hard to beat again.
- DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR ($3.40)
Dollar For Dollar is the veteran of the field here, but he still looks the one to beat here in my opinion. Last prep, he was in great form, nearly scoring at Group 2 level which culminated in him scoring an Everest slot. He failed there and was subsequently spelled, before resuming last start at The Valley with a solid performance. He will take great improvement from that and will be hard to beat today.
- GARVOC ($4.20)
Garvoc has been racing well this prep, scoring a win first up before heading to The Valley, where she was badly blocked during the straight. She then followed that up with two narrow second placings when sitting more prominent. She draws a good gate here and can sit close again. Expecting another good run here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- ANOTHER ONE ($12)
Wide open race for the Country Championships Final over 1400m, but I think Another One looks a good chance at odds. He sat near the rear of the field at Wagga and sprinted strongly to get up on the line. He won at Randwick a couple of starts ago and still looks to have a ton of upside to come. Can run well again here.
