- WATER DOVE ($2.60)
Water Dove has had just three starts but has already shown her ability, scoring two wins to kick off her career, before going down narrowly last start at Randwick. She was very honest there, sitting second throughout and just outgunned by Art Cadeau late. The blinkers go on today and they could be the catalyst for sharp improvement. Even if she can just maintain her form from last start, she’s still the one to beat.
FLEMINGTON RACE 5 – 14:45 AEDT
- ALL BANTER ($4.40)
All Banter has won three on the trot now, making it four wins from just six starts in her career. She’s been particularly impressive this preparation, displaying good early speed in each of her runs and managing to stave off all challengers in each run. She’s still got plenty of upside to come and can win again here.
- ICEBATH ($3.40)
Icebath has been a bit of a money muncher in the past, but proved last prep that he was capable of winning, scoring by an impressive four lengths at Randwick. He returned well last start behind Tailleur, despite being hampered at the 250m mark. There’s no Tailleur here today, and Icebath will be much improved here second up. He’ll take beating today.

- SIN TO WIN ($12)
Skymax is on the up here but may be in front for a long way, which is generally a tough ask at Flemington over 2600m. The consistent Sin To Win looks over the odds to me coming off a freshen after running second to the talented Tralee Rose last start. He won impressively over 2800m on Melbourne Cup day recently and is very well credentialed. Decent each way chance.
