- FROSTY ROCKS ($4.00)
Frosty Rocks has been racing well recently, finishing second in his past two runs. He went down narrowly to Bigboyroy at Randwick two back, when leading at a very strong tempo. Last start he was gunned down by Paradee, who had the run of the race. He faces Paradee again here but maps beautifully. Paradee will likely be a touch further back than last start. I think Frosty can turn the tables here.
GOLD COAST RACE 5 – 15:35 AEDT
- ATHIRI (2.90)
Has been in top form this prep, scoring four wins from his past five runs. He was particularly impressive last start against Boomtown Lass, scoring a dominant 2.25L victory. Athiri should enjoy the speed set up front here from Irithea & Niedorp. He’ll sit midfield and with the right run, should prove too good.
- SHAIK ($3.80)
This lightly raced filly was super impressive last start at Warwick Farm, sitting at the rear of the field before putting in a withering burst of speed to blouse her rivals late. The start prior, she was just behind midfield and again put in a strong sprint, but came up a touch short. She’s third up today and looks well placed again. She has a lot of upside to come.

FLEMINGTON RACE 6 – 16:50 AEDT

Has mixed his form this prep, putting together a few strong performances but unfortunately matching those with some equally poor runs. Last start he was back to form however, sitting outside the leader and looking home in the straight, before Vassilator swooped from the rear. He looks to get a gun run in behind the leaders here and earlier this prep he scored back to back wins, so I think he can hold his form.
