- MARGIE BEE ($3.60)
Margie Bee looks to get all the favours out in front here and certainly looks the one to beat for mine. She’s deep into her prep now, but scored a convincing win just two starts ago, so I think she still has some gas left in her. She led at a very quick tempo on the Heavy track last start, and was quickly gobbled up in the straight. She faces no pressure here and should be in front for a long way.
- ELDERFLOWER ($3.30)
Resumed at Moonee Valley first up and faced a torrid run in transit, sitting wide without cover throughout. She battled on gamely behind winner Miss Albania, in what was a total forgive run. She followed that up with a decent on the pace effort at Caulfield, however was unable to match it with Miss Albania again. Third up today however, and a drop in class to BM64 looks an ideal scenario for her. She should prove tough to beat here.
- MR CANCUN ($3.80)
Mr Cancun resumes here and should prove terribly hard to beat if he can return in form. Last prep, he scored a dominant win 2nd up over Think I’m Dreaming before heading to Flemington and putting in a brave on pace run to finish just over a length away. He was the best of those on pace in that race, and should be much more suited in today’s race. Looks the one to beat.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- DIAMONDS INTHE SKY ($10)
Has only had the three career starts, and her worst finish has been just 2.7 lengths away. She was good last start in her first time with the winkers, working early to find the lead before fighting bravely to score a narrow win. Draws a wide gate, but should be able to cross fairly easily and sit somewhere near the lead. She has plenty of upside left in her yet and can improve again here.
