- AHIKA ($3.70)
Resumed from a fairly long spell last start at Echuca and put in an eye-catching display. She settled toward the rear of the field on the rails and managed to weave through the field to hit the line strongly for second. She’ll take great improvement from that run and should be hitting the line well again. Looks ready to break her maiden tag.
HAWKESBURY RACE 4 – 15:10 AEDT
- MONTSERRAT ($3.30)
Has raced at this track in his past two starts and is slowly rising in distance. He was good last start behind the talented Wairere Falls, finishing just 1.3L away. He’s third up here today against a similar field and should be ready to fire here third up. He’s also had a couple of gear changes which could prove the difference today.
- BOOM BOOM BECKER ($3.90)
Boom Boom Becker was finally able to get rid of his maiden tag this prep, after previously recording three narrow second placings. He did so in a big way, scoring by an impressive 3 lengths at Geelong and then backing that up with another 1.75 length victory at Echuca last start. Looks like the penny has dropped and he should prove tough to beat here again.

HAWKESBURY RACE 7 – 16:55 AEDT
- MUSHAIREB ($21)
Mushaireb comes into this first up and looks great value for mine. He brings in solid form at this distance, scoring a win at the beginning of the year over 1550m and another second placing over 1600m in August. Looks to get some favours on speed here behind Archedemus. He’s had two trials in readiness for this and was relatively well held, but he certainly brings a solid form profile into this for the price he is.
