FLEMINGTON RACE 2 – 13:00 AEDT
- TOMMY GOLD ($2.80)
Tommy Gold looked talented last prep at Kensington, cruising up to score in his only start. He looks the one to beat here after a nice first up return behind The Bopper at Randwick last start. He sat midfield and was able to finish off impressively for second. This field looks similar, if not a touch easier and he’ll appreciate the Flemington track.
FLEMINGTON RACE 3 – 13:35 AEDT
- MORRISSY ($3.70)
Talented horse who should make his own luck near the speed. Has been a touch unlucky in his past couple of runs, including a narrow defeat at Group 3 level last start. He was in a two horse war with Wild Planet down the straight but was eventually nosed out. He’s deep into the prep now, but should be rock hard fit and will prove tough to get past in the straight.
- POSITIVE PEACE ($4.60)
Positive Peace went on an incredible run last prep, winning five times consecutively and rising all the way to Group 1 level. She set the bar high for herself this prep and had performed below expectations up until last start, where she scored a strong win at Group 3 level. She defeated Wandabaa and Athiri in the process and may just be finding form again. She looks right in this again.

FLEMINGTON RACE 5 – 14:55 AEDT
- HAKY ($14)
Pondus lines up as the favourite here after a promising debut Australian run at Bendigo behind Princess Jenni. He certainly looks talented, but looks short enough, so I’m siding with Haky for the in-form Jamie Kah. He has been out of form this prep, but finally hit his straps last start, finishing two lengths behind Pondus and Princess Jenni last start. He enjoys this distance and might have just been a touch underdone in his first couple of runs this prep. He looks well over the odds and is a live chance here.
