MOONEE VALLEY RACE 5 – 13:40 AEDT
- PARADEE ($3.80)
Looks ready to win now after two great returns to begin the prep. First up she sat just worse than midfield and launched late but just missed. Second up, she was under a length away at Group 3 level, again hitting the line strongly. She maps to sit just behind the leaders here, plus she’s third up today and will be primed for this. Looks hard to beat.

Has only had five Australian starts so far, after making the trip from the UK at the start of the year and had been relatively unimpressive prior to last start. He’d been racing over unsuitable distances however, and we finally got a taste of what he was capable of last start, when he got out to 2400m and ran a nice second behind Attorney at Group 3 level. Sticks at 2400m again here and should find this a touch easier. Looks a great chance here.
- PELTZER ($2.50)
Has been racing against the best this prep, (and throughout his career) coming up against the likes of Anders, Rothfire, Ole Kirk and North Pacific. He raced very well against all of these talented horses, and finally got his chance last start facing an easier field. He went on to score a dominant win, defeating Prime Star, who he faces again here. No reason why he can’t make it back to back wins against a similar field.

- YES BABY YES ($10)
Favourite here Ecumenical put in a huge run last start behind Odeum, but looks a touch short for mine here. Yes Baby Yes finished exactly the same margin behind Odeum a few starts back, and was strong last start, beating home the talented Rainbiel at Caulfield. She maps to lead, or sit just behind the leader and should get the run of the race. Looks a solid value bet.
