NFL Tips & Betting Preview Week 7 20/21 | BlueBet

New York Giants (1-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-4-1)

The 1-5 Giants will look for a huge divisional upset on Friday but they'll need to overcome a poor record against the Eagles. They've lost the last 5 meetings and their offence is really struggling to score points. With Saquon Barkley on IR, the Giants running game is ranked near bottom of the NFL along with their passing game. They're also 31st in the league for points scored and that's putting plenty of pressure on their defence.

Injuries are basically the story of the Eagles 1-4-1 season and it's not getting any better. Last week, they lost Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz in a close loss to the Ravens. But it looks like Carson Wentz has found a new favourite target in Travis Fulgham. So with the NFC East looking wide open this year, this is a big home game for the Eagles and we can't see them dropping it.

The Eagles have a great record against the Giants with 5 straight wins and they're also 5-0 as the home team. So we like them at the line, where they hold a 16-8 ATS record against New York.

Stadium Record

The Eagles are yet to win a home game this season in 3 attempts (1 tie). Meanwhile, the Giants have lost their last 5 at the venue.

Head to Head Record

Philadelphia won both meetings last season, 34-17 and 23-17. Since 2015, the Eagles are 9-1 SU against New York.

Best Bet

Eagles -3.5 $1.76

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) at Las Vegas Raiders (3-2)

Tom Brady and his Bucs responded from a disappointing 20-19 defeat against the Bears with a clinical display against the Packers last week. Brady tossed 2 touchdowns and Ronald Jones dominated on the ground with 113 yards / 2 tds as the Buccaneers smashed the Packers 38-10. Defensively, they gave Aaron Rodgers nightmares with 2 ints / 4 sacks as well. We also saw our first Gronk (5 catches, 78 yards) spike of the season and that means trouble for the Raiders.

The bye probably came at the wrong time for the Raiders after their massive 40-32 comeback victory over the Chiefs in Week 5. After falling behind 21-10, Derek Carr and his team rallied to out score the Chiefs 30-3 in the last 3 quarters. But the Bucs will offer a tougher challenge with their defence. So the Raiders will likely struggle to move the ball on the ground with Josh Jacobs and that'll put a lot of pressure on Carr in the passing game.

We have two of the best scoring teams in the league facing off in Las Vegas but we feel defence will be the key difference, where the Bucs excel. They thrashed Rodgers and the Packers last week and with the Brady/Gronk combination back in action, the Raiders will be tested defensively. So we just like the Bucs form at the moment.

Stadium Record

Las Vegas is 1-1 at their new home this season. The Bucs have never played at this venue.

Head to Head Record

The two sides last met in 2016 and the Raiders came away with a 30-24 victory. Since 1996, the Raiders hold the edge in the head to head at 4-3.

Best Bet

Buccaneers -3 $1.76

Chicago Bears (5-1) at Los Angeles Rams (4-2)

The Bears are quietly 5-1 and leading the NFC North so this is a key NFC clash on Tuesday. Last week, the Bears recorded a fairly comfortable 23-16 win over the Panthers as their defence dominated with 2 interceptions and a fumble recovery. So the Bears defence is really the key to their success and they should be able to stop Goff's weapons in this matchup.

Last week's 24-16 loss to the struggling 49ers was a disappointing effort by the Rams. They couldn't stop the Jimmy G and George Kittle combination and the offence just couldn't get going all game. So they'll be looking for a much improved effort on their home turf and that starts with Goff finding his combination with Woods and Kupp in the passing game.

The Bears look good value as an underdog on Tuesday considering a few factors. They've won 3 of 3 on the road this season and also have a nice 6-2 record against the Rams. Their defence is playing well enough to stop Goff and hopefully Nick Foles can score enough points on the Bears offence to keep it close.

Stadium Record

The Rams have won both home games this season against the Cowboys/Giants. The Bears haven't played at the new stadium.

Head to Head Record

The last 2 meetings have been defensive affairs with a Rams 17-7 victory and the Bears winning 15-6 in 2018. Since 2002, the Bears are 6-4 against the Rams as well.

Best Bet

Bears +6 $1.92
