OVERVIEW
Small field of seven lines up for the George Main Stakes this year, but it definitely isn’t lacking in quality with multiple Group 1 winners lining up here. The race looks devoid of speed here outside Dreamforce, who looks to get an ideal run out in front. It’ll be a case of “catch me if you can”, with the better horses trying to gun him down late. Could become a very tactical but interesting race.
SPEED MAP
Dreamforce looks to be the solo leader here in the small field filled with backmarkers, and should face absolutely no pressure out in front. Colette looks the next in line from either Kolding or Imaging. Verry Elleegant, Avilius and Star of the Seas should be at the rear.
KEY RUNNERS
- DREAMFORCE ($5.50)
Went through the grades nicely and ultimately became a Group 1 winner last prep. Failed first up in the Winx Stakes but hit back last start with a brave all the way win at Group 2 level. Looks to get a dream run in front and can run this to his own liking. Should be very tough to beat.
- KOLDING ($11)
Another Group 1 winner in this race, and brings in the same formlines as Dreamforce, with a poor first up performance and a rebound second up. He looks to get a brilliant run behind Dreamforce but most importantly won’t sit too far from them. He can fight out the finish here at a decent price.
- VERRY ELLEEGANT ($2.30)
Superb return at an unsuitable distance first up, defeating a quality field which included Fierce Impact, who has since gone on to score Group 1 success. He got better and better last prep and improved with each step up in distance. Likely needs further to be at his best but still looks a deserving favourite here.

- DREAMFORCE ($5.50)
Verry Elleegant looks very tough to beat here after a brilliant first up performance, and she looks set for a brilliant prep, but I find it impossible to go past Dreamforce here who looks to get a perfect run in front. He faces little to no pressure and can run them along at his own leisure. He’s proven at this level and can win again.
