FLEMINGTON RACE 2 – 12:40 AEST
- GALACTIC FURY ($3.60)
Small field here and for me it looks between Yes Baby Yes and Galactic Fury. I’ve sided with Galactic Fury, who maps slightly better than the pre-post favourite here and will get the first shot at them. He brings solid form into this as well, running a narrow to second Flinders River (who jumps favourite later in the day) last start. Yet to score a win in his nine start career, but today could be the day.
FLEMINGTON RACE 4 – 13:55 AEST
- TAVIDANCE ($2.45)
Tavidance looks the bet of the card for mine, and no doubt will be well found in the market. He was absolutely luckless last start, enduring a wide run and also pulling up with a slow recovery. He looks a top candidate to bounce back to form and if it looks anything like his win at Caulfield two starts back, he’ll prove far too good here.
FLEMINGTON RACE 6 – 15:15 AEST
- GREAT AGAIN ($4)
Looks the one to beat here, after a top run in the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield last start. He was only 1.15L off Viridine there, whereas his dangers are either first up or had slightly weaker lead in runs. Draws wide which is generally a positive down the straight and no issue with the wet.

FLEMINGTON RACE 1 – 12:05 AEST
- BLANDFORD LAD ($10)
Favourite South Pacific looks tough to beat here, but if he has a chink in his armour, it could be the Gelagotis trained runner who scores victory. He impressed last start, scoring a strong win over 2400m and showing that he could handle a step up in grade. Will only carry 53kg here which could be critical.
