- TRUMBULL ($3.80)
Talented runner who has bungled the start in a few of his recent runs, which has ultimately cost him the race, or at least prevented him from finishing closer. He worked home very strongly from the back in each of those starts, showcasing his powerful sprint. Draws much more positively here and should be able to settle closer, which could prove the difference.
- GODODDIN ($3.90)
Has been ultra consistent this prep, finishing within a length of the winner in three of her four runs. Stays at a similar class here which looks suitable, plus gets a 4kg swing on Jamaican Hurry, who beat her last start at Flemington. Has a good record at this track and looks hard to beat here.
- SIKORSKY ($2.10)
Looks terribly hard to beat here after an impressive victory over Orleans Rock in his last start at Flemington. He scored by a comfortable 1.5 lengths there after overracing early. Run prior to that was also very strong behind Jumbo Ozaki, especially after he was caught wide without cover throughout. Rock hard fit now and can push forward here which should suit.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
- MASK OF TIME ($15.00)
This looks like a wide open race with plenty of chances but also plenty of value. Mask of Time is the one that catches my eye here, he has a solid record in the wet and certainly has the ability to win this race. Should be more suited up to 2000m as well. Looks a decent each way bet.
