ROSEHILL RACE 2 – 14:00 AEDT
- BATTLEGROUND ($3.50)
Has become a little bit of a bridesmaid in his short career, finishing second in all three of his runs. He’s been knocking on the door for a win though, putting in strong performances in all three runs. Should be able to lead or be up near the speed and will be much fitter after his first up run. Looks a great chance to break his maiden here.
SANDOWN RACE 5 – 15:20 AEDT
- CLEMENTINA ($4.00)
Liked the look of Clementina last week prior to the meeting being abandoned. She has been solid in all four of her runs so far this prep, particularly in her last two. Two starts back, she sat last at Flemington over 2000m and charged to the line, just missing. Last start over 2400m, was unsuited by the slow tempo, sitting toward the rear of the field and again putting in a good run to the line. If the track plays fairly here, she’ll be hard to beat.
ROSEHILL RACE 7 – 16:55 AEDT
- CARDIFF ($3.70)
Has displayed talent thus far in his career and that has resulted in him contesting some strong Group races, including the Group 1 Coolmore last prep. He’s won in Listed grade before and will find this is a much easier grade for him first up. Last prep, he finished just 1.3L behind Dawn Passage first up in Listed grade. Can resume with a win here.

SANDOWN RACE 6 – 15:55 AEDT
- ACCOUNTABILITY ($14)
Lightly raced imported runner having his first start for Waller today after a 206 day spell. He improved markedly off his debut run as a 2YO during his second prep, having two runs and finishing first and second. He looks to possess some talent, however, there’s always the chance that he’ll need a couple of runs to settle in. We have seen these types fire first up in Australia before and he may run a race here at odds.
