CAULFIELD – RACE 5 1400m 15:20 AEDT
WILMOT PASS ($4.20)
Really liked the win of Wilmot Pass last start at Sandown, weaving through the field before scoring a decisive victory against Wedgetail who again lines up here. Looks to get a nice trail midfield and should have sufficient time in the straight to reel them in. Can score back-to-back wins.
RANDWICK – RACE 6 1600m 16:20 AEDT
HELGA ($2.70)
Helga won in a professional manner two weeks back at Randwick, sitting outside the leader before taking over at the 400m and scoring a comfortable win. Draws widest here but should be able to get a similar run without working too hard. She looks like a talented horse on the up and can add another win to her resume here.
CAULFIELD – RACE 8 1400m 17:20 AEDT
YULONG JANUARY ($2.80)
It’s become extremely tough to knock the winning form of Yulong January, who has now scored four consecutive victories since jumping to 1400m this prep. No change to that here and has been given a few weeks between runs. Can slot in behind the leaders or even lead from barrier 7 and I’m happy to be on winning form at the current price.

CAULFIELD – RACE 7 1100m 16:40 AEDT
LADY LUPINO ($9.00)
Lady Lupino should lead them out from barrier 5 and could prove tough to run down with the rail out 6m. Lady Lupino brings some classy formlines into this, having previously finished only 2.5L away from Castelvecchio at Group 1 level this time last year. Backing her does come with risk however, as her last two runs during Spring, she dropped out of the races and was later found to have EIPH. However, at the current price I’m happy to take the risk, as the race is well within her grasp if at 100%.
