WARWICK FARM – RACE 1 1400m 14:20 AEDT
CALIFORNIA AUGUST ($2.70)
One of the only runners who brings race experience into this maiden affair. Has raced five times during his short career and has yet to finish further than 2L away, which suggests that he is in solid form and close to a breakout win. Fourth up here, so will be rock hard fit and the race experience should ensure he goes close to a win here.
WARWICK FARM – RACE 4 1400m 16:05 AEDT
CHAPELCO ($3.60)
Very weak field lines up here, which I think the Joe Pride trained Chapelco can take advantage of to score his first win since October 2018. Had been racing well prior to last start, when he finished last at Randwick. He was slow to recover following a Vet’s exam after that race, so I’m willing to forgive that run. Looks to get all the favours out in front and could prove tough to run down.
WARWICK FARM – RACE 7 1400m 17:50 AEDT
FEATHER ($3.00)
There’s not much speed in this race outside of Betty Blooms, so that should help offset Feather’s wide draw here and hopefully Kerrin McEvoy can park her in a nice spot. Form this prep has been solid, including a narrow defeat last start at Randwick. Has been knocking on the door for this prep and looks primed for a win third up here.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
WARWICK FARM – RACE 5 1200m 16:40 AEDT
SKYRAY ($10.00)
Not convinced on the favourite in this race, who is first up and looks to be a perennial bridesmaid, providing some value around him. Skyray pulled up lame two starts back after running solidly previously at this grade earlier this prep and can hit back with a solid run here. Should be suited by the tempo up front which looks strong.
