BALAABEL ($2.70)
Small field here and Balaabel can take advantage of that by sitting a touch closer. Talented horse who debuted in Listed grade for a half-length victory behind Absolute Flirt last prep before putting in another solid run. This prep has 2 narrow defeats but finally broke through last start by 6 lengths as a red-hot favourite. Goes up in grade here but looks supremely talented and can on with it here.
ROSEHILL – RACE 6 2000m 16:20 AEDT
HOUSE OF CARTIER ($3.40)
Super impressive last start coming off a short freshen and getting to a middle-distance race. Has shown a liking for this distance in the past with her most recent run at this trip a narrow defeat at Group 1 level behind the talented Princess Jenni. Should get a great run in transit with Avdulla on board and should be fighting out the finish.
MOONEE VALLEY – RACE 7 1600m 16:40 AEDT
SURE KNEE ($1.95)
Was brilliant last start when jumping out past 1600m for the first time this prep. Was able to sit toward the rear before unleashing a strong sprint to score by 2.75L. Prior to that run was solid behind some nice types including Greyworm. Should be rock hard fit here and looks very hard to beat.

MOONEE VALLEY – RACE 6 1200m 16:00 AEDT
PONGA ($13.00)
Can cross from the wide barrier here and lead as he did on debut. Impressed at Ararat on debut when winning by 2.25L after leading the entire. Should improve off that run and whilst favourite Somals showed plenty last start, I think there’s some value around her. Ponga profiles well and looks a decent chance at a nice price.
