TERWILLIKER ($2.90)
Terwilliker loves this distance, having only missed a place once from five starts at this trip. Last prep dealt with Heavy tracks and chopped/changed distances regularly. I think the mile and half is his perfect trip and he looked terrific last time out at this track scoring over Castel Sant’angelo. Should run another good race here.
BALLARAT – RACE 6 1200m 15:55 AEST
SPLENDOURONTHEGRASS ($2.40)
Despite her last run reading “0” on the form guide, there was quite a bit of merit to the run. Was racing in listed grade at Flemington and managed to finish within 5L of the winner. Massive drop back in class here to BM64 should be perfect. Can notch up her second career win here.
BALLARAT – RACE 7 1100m 16:30 AEST
SAM’S IMAGE ($5.00)
Has been racing in harder company than this and has managed three placings in a row to begin this prep. Knocking on the door but fourth up today looks like the perfect time to break through and score a win. Riordan’s 2kg claim helps to offset the allotted 62kg, and should be suited by the drop back to BM70 level.

RANDWICK – RACE 4 1550m 15:45 AEST
LENINGRAD ($10)
Lightly raced 5-year-old for Waterhouse & Bott, which almost certainly means he’ll lead them along here. I think that’s a good tactic here and if left alone out in front can take some catching. Was good first up at a similar grade before putting in a couple of flat runs. Back to a good track here and can put in a solid run at a decent price.
