Consistent Kris Lees trained filly who has yet to miss a place in her seven-start career. She is coming off a narrow defeat last start here, but she still ran well that day – as she has in all of her runs this prep. She’s finished no worse than a length and half away in each of her four runs. Loves the wet and should prove tough to beat here.
KENSINGTON – RACE 4 2400m 14:35 AEST
NOT A SINGLE CENT ($4.20)
Does not have an outstanding overall record, mostly due to the fact that he has been racing in Listed or Group company for most of his career. Was only 4L away from Mr Quickie in the Group 1 QLD Derby last start. Drops back to BM70 here and should find this race much easier. Can find his second career win.
SANDOWN - RACE 8 1400m 16:30 AEST
PINYIN ($2.50)
Consistent filly who is claiming 3kg here, thanks to apprentice Teodore Nugent. Nugent rode this filly in her last start win here, so he’s familiar with the horse. Pinyin was beginning to become a bit of a bridesmaid early in her career, finishing in the placings four times in four runs before she finally scored her first win two starts ago. Back to back wins has put that to rest and she looks a great chance to make it three in a row.

SANDOWN – RACE 2 1000m 13:00 AEST
BOLD TYPE ($11.00)
Plenty to like about this gelding’s win two starts back at Mornington, when he sat behind the leaders and burst clear to score by two lengths. Last start was up in class at Flemington and raced a bit keenly, finishing last, but he was only 4.25L away from the winner. Back down in class here and Jockey claims 3kg.
