CANTERBURY - RACE 2 1100m 13:25 AEST
BLAZING MISS ($2.45)
Well backed in early markets and understandably so. Two smart trials leading into her first up performance where she ran fairly (albeit as $2.10F) and stuck on well for third behind the smart Exceedance. That was a strong race and she should take great improvement from that. Well placed here and very tough to beat.
SANDOWN – RACE 6 1300m 15:20 AEST
OUR CAMPANA ($3.00)
Putting together a really strong prep which resulted in 2 consecutive wins. Up in class last start (same track) and ran on well from the back for a 2.5L defeat. Can improve here with Craig Williams on board. No starts on Heavy yet but has raced well on Soft previously which is a good sign. Should run well here again.
CANTERBURY - RACE 7 1550m 16:20 AEST
GUIPURE ($3.10)
Guipure has shown a liking to Softened tracks before, almost scoring 2 consecutive wins last prep on rain affected tracks. She has finished 2L & 1L away each run this prep and is improving with each run, which is important as she is coming off a 150 day spell. Talented jockey James McDonald should ensure she is given every chance.
BLUEY’S BEST VALUE
SANDOWN – RACE 3 1200m 13:35 AEST
ANTILIA ($7.00)
Looks to be a fair bit of pace in this race, but confident Antilia should be able to cross into a leading position which is generally imperative at Sandown. Looks to have really improved after the spell after notching a promising 2nd place in her first run back, followed by a win last start at Ballarat. This is no doubt harder but she is promising and can give this a shake.
