Flemington - Race 3 1600m 13:43 AEDT
SILENTZ ($2.50)
Has progressed nicely this prep and should be at peak fitness here. Last start at Caulfield enjoyed the rise to the mile, defeating Critical Thinking by half a length in a weaving run. Both Laure Me In and Black Sail emerged from that race which franks the form. Weir/Yendall combination a positive.
Gold Coast - Race 5 1200m 15:00 AEDT
HOUTZEN ($1.75)
This speedy Queensland galloper returned brilliantly a couple of weeks back at Doomben to score by nearly 3 lengths. Prior to that performance was absolutely luckless in two Group 1’s at Moonee Valley (still finished close both times). Looks to have returned in fantastic order and very hard to beat here.
Gold Coast - Race 7 1400m 16:15 AEDT
OUTBACK BARBIE ($2.35)
Has been well backed in early markets and with good reason – was brilliant winning three starts ago, before narrowly going down to the talented Zoustyle. Last start got all the way back in a leader dominated race at Doomben. Spacious Gold Coast track will suit more and is no doubt the one to beat.

I’M WESLEY ($6.00)
Consistent Tassie runner who has a terrific overall record (35: 13-7-3). Has been particularly good this prep including two wins on the trot as a short-priced favourite. Last start down the Flemington straight finished under a length behind Dothraki, which is strong form. Looks a solid each way bet.
